Neutral silicone sealant for doors and windows is the core sealing material for the installation of aluminum alloy and plastic steel doors and windows. Its core advantages are neutral curing, non corrosion, and strong weather resistance. It is mainly used for waterproof and windproof sealing between window frames and walls, glass and profiles.
1、 Core Features
Neutral and environmentally friendly: does not release acidic substances during curing, does not corrode metals, coated glass, and stone, and has no pungent odor.
Single component quick drying: Apply directly with a glue gun, cure in contact with air moisture, dry for about 30 minutes, and fully cure for 1-2 days.
Weather resistance and aging resistance: UV resistance, high and low temperature (-40 ℃~150 ℃), ozone resistance, long-term outdoor non cracking, non chalking.
High elasticity seal: After curing, it becomes an elastic material, resistant to displacement and earthquake, suitable for thermal expansion and contraction of doors and windows, and has strong waterproof sealing performance.
Widely adhesive: It can bond most building materials such as glass, aluminum alloy, plastic steel, ceramic tiles, and concrete without the need for primer.
2、 Main purpose
Installation of doors and windows: Sealing of joints between aluminum alloy/plastic steel door and window frames and walls, as well as between glass and profiles.
Indoor decoration: door frames, skirting boards, ceiling edging, kitchen and bathroom waterproofing, mold prevention and sealing.
Outdoor weather resistance: Weather resistant and waterproof for sunrooms, small curtain walls, and aluminum-plastic panel joints.
3、 Difference from acidic adhesive/structural adhesive
Neutral silicone adhesive (for doors and windows): neutral, non corrosive, weather resistant, non load bearing, preferred for door and window joint filling.
Acidic silicone adhesive (glass adhesive): Corrosive and cannot be used for metal or coated glass. It cures quickly and is only used for ordinary glass.
Silicone structural adhesive: high strength, high modulus, used for structural bonding (such as load-bearing of curtain wall glass), cannot be used as weather resistant adhesive for doors and windows.
