Neutral silicone weather resistant silicone sealant
1、 Core Types (Don’t Buy Wrong)
1) Neutral silicone weather resistant adhesive (used in 90% of door and window scenarios)
No corrosion, no damage to aluminum alloy/glass/plastic steel
Weather resistance: -40 ℃~150 ℃, UV resistant, suitable for outdoor use for 15-20 years without cracking
Displacement capability: ± 25% (25LM), suitable for thermal expansion and contraction of doors and windows
Standard: GB/T 14683-2017, modulus ≤ 0.4MPa
Usage: Glass and aluminum frames, window frames and walls, splicing joints, outdoor exposed joints
2) Acidic silicone adhesive( ❌ Doors and windows are prohibited
Release acetic acid to corrode aluminum alloys, plastic steel, and coated glass
Only suitable for glass ceramic, with strong odor, prone to blackening and mold growth
3) Structural adhesive( ❌ Don’t use it as sealant
High strength (≥ 0.6MPa), used for load-bearing bonding (such as curtain wall glass)
Expensive price, slow curing, not necessary or suitable for ordinary doors and windows
4) MS modified silicone (indoor/fine decoration preferred)
Environmentally friendly, low VOC, odorless, and better elasticity (± 50%)
Suitable for indoor edge trimming, humid areas (kitchen and bathroom), and odor resistant scenes
2、 Key performance parameters (must see when purchasing)
Type: Neutral weather resistant (25LM), strictly prohibited from acidic
Displacement capability: ≥ ± 25% (Northern temperature difference election ± 50%)
Temperature range: -40 ℃ to 150 ℃
Environmental protection: low VOC, formaldehyde free, suitable for indoor use
Mold proof: Select level 0 mold proof for kitchen and bathroom
Color: transparent/white/gray/black (more beautiful in the same color as the profile)
3、 Typical application location (whole house sealing)
Glass aluminum frame: glued inside and outside, waterproof, anti vibration, and anti glass cracking
Window frame wall: fill 5-15mm seam to prevent rainwater infiltration, sound insulation and thermal insulation
Profile splicing joints: corners, mullions, splicing joints, to prevent water ingress and rust corrosion
Window sill/balcony edging: outdoor weather resistant, indoor mold resistant
