Polyurethane sealant with high elasticity

High elasticity polyurethane sealant is a single/two-component moisture cured elastic sealing material. Its core advantages include a fracture elongation rate of 300% -1000%, an elastic recovery rate of ≥ 90%, and a displacement capacity of ± 25% – ± 50%. It can adapt to joint expansion, vibration, and settlement for a long time, and has high strength, weather resistance, and multi substrate adhesion.
1、 Core performance (high elasticity key indicator)
Elongation at break: 300% -800% (top grade up to 1000%), much higher than silicone adhesive (≈ 100%), can be greatly stretched without cracking.
Elastic recovery rate: ≥ 90%, quickly rebounds after stretching, and maintains sealing even after long-term deformation.
Displacement capability: ± 25% – ± 50%, suitable for dynamic joints such as building expansion joints, curtain walls, bridges, etc.
Tensile strength: 0.4-6.0 MPa (higher for structural types), balancing elasticity and strength.
Temperature resistance range: -40 ℃ -+120 ℃, not brittle at low temperatures and not soft at high temperatures.
Modulus selection:
Low modulus: softer and less stressed, suitable for large deformation curtain walls/expansion joints.
High modulus: High strength, wear-resistant, suitable for automotive glass and structural bonding.

  1. Single component (mainstream)
    Principle: Moisture solidifies and reacts with air moisture to form an elastic body.
    Features: Ready to use, no need to mix, good thixotropy, no flow on the surface.
    Curing: Surface drying for 15-60 minutes, complete curing for 2-7 days (depth of 4-6 mm/24h).
    Representative: Automotive windshield sealant, building curtain wall sealant.
  2. Two component
    Principle: A (prepolymer)+B (curing agent) mixed reaction.
    Features: Fast curing, high strength, suitable for large-scale/industrial batch construction.
    Applicable: Sealing for bridges, large equipment, and new energy battery packs.
    3、 Core advantages
    Highly elastic and adaptable dynamic seams: no delamination or cracking under thermal expansion, contraction, settlement, and vibration.
    Multi substrate strong adhesion: suitable for concrete, metal, glass, stone, plastic, and wood.
