Core characteristics of neutral silicone sealant. During the curing process, methanol or ketoxime substances are released, rather than acidic substances, which will not corrode metals (such as aluminum alloy, stainless steel), stone, glass, concrete, and other substrates. It is particularly suitable for use in scenarios where substrates are sensitive, such as doors and windows, curtain walls, kitchens, and bathrooms.
Compared to acidic silicone sealant, it does not suffer from issues such as “whitening” or “corrosion of metal parts”, making it more suitable for precise installation in home decoration.
The silicone elastomer, formed after excellent weather resistance curing, can withstand extreme temperatures ranging from -50℃ to 150℃. It is resistant to ultraviolet rays, anti-aging, and rainwater erosion. Even when exposed to the outdoors for a long time, it will not crack, yellow, or harden. Its service life can usually reach 10 to 20 years (for high-quality products).
With strong bonding strength and a wide range of applications, it can firmly bond most building materials such as glass, metal, ceramics, plastic, wood, and cement, without the need for additional primer, making it convenient to use.
It exhibits good elasticity and possesses excellent stretchability after being cured to resist displacement. It can accommodate minor displacements (typically ±25% to ±50%) caused by thermal expansion and contraction of the substrate, effectively preventing joint cracking and water leakage.
